~New Forest Pony~

The small, sturdy New Forest Pony, with all of its wonderful characteristics is currently without a doubt, one of the best choices for a mount for children today. The head is slightly long, with large, soulful eyes, and large, sensitive nostrils, apparent withers, and a slightly short back, making this small pony perfect for pleasure riding. However, although the legs appear to be sound, they do not always seem to be of regular conformation. The height of this breed ranges from 13.3 to 14.2 hands, while the coloration can be anything except for piebald and skewbald. With their friendly, docile nature, and reliability, these ponies are exceptional choices for a mount.
